ProtoDeacon Sergius's Cane memorialized on the Altar
As most of you know, Protodeacon Sergius used a cane at the end of his life. In remembrance of Protodeacon Sergius and his cane, Deacon John had the cane placed in a memory box. On July 10th, after liturgy, Fr. C. showed the parish the framed cane. The cane will remain in the altar-the place most loved by Protodeacon Sergius and a reminder of him to all serving at the altar. Thank you Deacon John for coordinating this heartfelt recognition project.
